The René Metge Concept company has been created in 2003 at the initiative of René Metge himself. His first goal is to organize races and rallys, but he is also a consultant for the route and sports parts for events of the same kind. R.M.C created the Orient Rally and made three consecutive editions between 2003 and 2005, the competition was a part of the World Championships.

René Metge is also at the basis of the creation of the Paris-Beijing Rally in Mercedes E-Class Experience and he was a consultant for the Louis Vuitton Classic, a rally for historic cars. In 2005, René Metge got closer with Gilles Martineau, who was at the time the Team Manager of the Nissan-France team.

The two men knew each other for a long time and decided to share their experience and to build something big : go back to Beijing and bring the more people they can, to relive the unique experience of 1992.
